Sanibel Island, FL, Part 2

We went on a dolphin cruise and got quite a show. The dolphins were leaping alongside the boat over and over again.

Sanibel Island, FL, Part 1

Hi all,

Sorry for the slow Thanksgiving greetings. Hope you all had a great time. We had a delicious meal, cooked by Robert as usual, but on the Sunday before. Then we headed to Florida on Wed. Robert was a bit leery about FL, but Sanibel Island is a charming place, with lots of seashells, which I loved! Fun was had by all, and it was nice to get away from our crazy schedule for a while.

Alex spent most of his time making an "animal home" in the sand...

Eric compulsively chased birds...

Christmas feels strange in the tropical air...

We decided to do our part and went green for an afternoon...

and we felt like dancing for joy!
This was in the evening after Alex's first piano lesson ever - I guess he got inspired!

Fall drive

Is there anything better than a free day, a full tank of gas, mild temperatures, and beautiful fall foliage?

Songo River Queen

We had a wonderful ride on a big paddle boat on Long Lake in Naples, ME. Nothing can beat the view of the NH mountains and the clear lake. Great fun was had by all!

Green thumb?

All home-grown, or growing wild in our yard...

...but, I've never heard of planting a vegetable that comes out looking like the gardener (or at least the gardener's lower half)!

More growing kids...

I liked Ali's idea comparing younger and older kid pics. It's amazing, isn't it?

First yield from the garden!

We now have some delicious white and red radishes from the garden. I also had some fresh spinach on a homemade pizza tonight. This gardening business is fun!

Last concert of the year

We had the last PSO concert of the year. We were joined by a group of Senagalese drummers. You can see me near the right-most drummers. My hair was long, but I cut it off this week!

California Trip

Well, I know I never write, but things are sometimes crazy and sometimes uneventful. We had a great trip to California, and we're glad the weather was warmer once we got back!
