California Trip

Well, I know I never write, but things are sometimes crazy and sometimes uneventful. We had a great trip to California, and we're glad the weather was warmer once we got back!

5 Year Old Art

Alex loves to "make books" and he tells us he is going to be an author and illustrator someday. He has dozens and dozens of pages and he'll get up in the morning and start right in on a picture for an hour before breakfast sometimes.

No more job...

The violin shop is closing...not enough business.

Val didn't want to do it, but he can't stay in business if no one comes in. I'm sad...

Actually the worst part is that the force of the blow to my forehead has made me all nauseous and weird feeling. Hope it goes away soon.

Stupid

Well, this is what happens when trying to stand on a stool and reach for the smoke detector to shut it off. The stool was there one second and gone the next. I guess I'm lucky I didn't break a wrist or some teeth though. Hope I don't have a scar. And I can't wash my hair until tonight - torture!
