Master Bath Reveal!

Here is a shot of the master bath before construction.  There was an enclosed tiny toilet room and an enclosed fiberglass shower.  We had both half walls removed.

The shower had a gold metal frame.  We removed the half wall and moved the vent pipe into the outside wall.

 No more suffocating potty sessions!

We kept the original vanity to save some money, but replaced the hideous tile with a beautiful granite called "Wild Sea".

 Before and After!

 Before and After

The new porcelain floor tiles.  They look very similar to slate.  They are darker than they appear in the first photo.

We decided to save some money on the tub faucet by ordering chrome parts to replace the gold.  We did get new sink faucets.

The shower is truly heavenly now!  You can't really tell from this picture, but the subway tile is a shiny glaze.

Some finishing touches.  We bought the doorknobs at a surplus store because chrome knobs were pretty expensive and only available online.  This is the only thing I'm not quite satisfied with, so maybe I should order the chrome...  Eric put in white pot light canisters and added a dimmer so that we can dim all the lights for a nice look.  I love the chrome knobs on the vanity!

Love it! Genius to order little chrome parts for the faucet. Remember to seal your subway tile to prevent mold!

The grout we got has a mold inhibitor in it. I wonder if we should do more? They said not.
